Dear friends,
Last October, I made the a fundraiser for this blog in which I sent postcards from Japan to my blog readers and friends. The Studio Ghibli, Frieren, and Biei postcards were sent with a commemorative Japan-France collaborative stamps and eki stamps from different train stations in Tokyo, Niigata, Sakata, Akita, Hokkaido, Aomori, Yamadera, and Sendai.
The aim was to raise funds for the survival of this blogsite. It’s not free to maintain a website. I have to pay for the domain each year and for hosting every month. The more fun goal, though, was to make people fall in love with receiving a postcard! 🙂 Some of them might never have gotten one in their lives. In the end, I sent out a total of 24 postcards!
Next March, I will be going to Taiwan with friends. I’ll be doing a next round of fundraiser with a couple of tweaks: receivers may choose a postcard with a photo that I myself took and one lucky receiver will get to win P500 in a raffle! The aim is to break the personal record I set in the Japan and send at least 25 from Taiwan. I’d appreciate it if you share this link to your friends as well. O:)
