The new talk-of-the-town show “Dirty Linen” has many guessing who killed Olivia Salvacion (Dolly de Leon) in its first episode. Joshua D. Onsay offers a theory of his own as to who killed her, the motivations of the killer, and where the child is. Obviously, there are heavy spoilers ahead, so watch the first five episodes first, and come back here.
In a separate RA vs the World post, Rey Anthony Ostria theorizes that the young Aidan Fiero (Enzo Palejero) killed Olivia Salvacio (Dolly de Leon) and that the father of the child is Ador Pavia (Epy Quizon). I have almost similar thoughts, but let me offer a different version.
It could have been one of the other maids that shot Olivia in the beginning. The cinematography does dwell a lot on the shoes of the maids in the first week. The sound of shoes before the gunshot may be from one of the maids.
Maybe it was one of the other maids that Carlos was fondling around with. Perhaps the discovery of Olivia’s pregnancy enraged this other maid—enough motive to kill her.
Aidan perhaps followed that maid in the evening because of difficulty sleeping. The character of young Aidan is revealed by the young Alexa (Erika Clemente) through opening a low cabinet door, similar to how Olivia was seen shot. What if Aidan was the one who opened the closet?
However, if Aidan opened the closet to reveal the bloody Olivia, why was his reaction or shock delayed? Maybe he was seen by the killer maid and silenced or manipulated to sleep, which could explain difficulty sleeping and confusion if this past is a nightmare or a flashback of reality.
Then there’s the child Olivia gave birth to before she died. I feel like Chiara Fiero (Francine Diaz) is Olivia’s daughter to Carlos (John Arcilla), which would explain why Leona (Janice de Belen) feels a lot of neglect towards her, in comparison to the mother’s treatment to Aidan.
Directed by Onat Diaz and Andoy Ranay, “Dirty Linen” airs every weeknight on the Kapamilya Channel.
